Nothing slows down the pipeline construction process more than trying to fit together pipe ends that just don’t match. The HiLo is too great, construction is stopped, whilst the un-matched pipe is taken off the firing line and quarantined, slowing down operations and costing you time and money.
Imagine then a smart digital solution that accurately predicts the HiLo of all possible pipe-end combinations, that anticipates operational constraints and using a unique pipe-end identification technology, enables you to maximize compatibility of pipes on the firing line to speed up construction and secure planning. An as-built digital tally of the line pipe construction is automatically generated in an easy to exploit format with alert functionalities.
Gonzague Vollaire and Nicolas Gotusso will share the results and feedback of recent projects from around the world. On spool bases and offshore, for welded and seamless pipes, with no additional personnel, each project achieved direct time savings in excess of 10%. With Smartengo Best Fit, the HiLo can be reduced by up to 30% leading to improved weld quality and other benefits.

Pipeline operators are faced with challenges maintaining pipeline operation during required repair and maintenance activities. Traditionally operators have had to use multiple split tee fittings or temporary suspend pipeline operation to allow for these necessary activities to take place. STATS Group has successfully introduced a new approach to pipeline isolation that not only provides for the highest possible level of safety (via STATS’ patented BISEP® technology) but also an active bypass through the BISEPs themselves when installed in pairs, thereby allow for temporary flow around the area requiring repair/maintenance. The presenters will speak to the technical underpinnings of the technology, the key advantages of this new BISEP system and provide for a series of practical case studies on real world applications showing the BISEP with integrated bypass in action. It is expected that attendees will be able to incorporate learnings from this webinar into their upcoming pipeline repair/maintenance projects and provide valuable options that avoid temporarily shutting down the pipeline.

Ambioconsult, a subsidiary of Vepica, developed an environmental and social impact assessment for a subsea/land gas pipeline in Venezuela. This webcast will provide details on how the project lessened environmental impact and complied with regulations and stringent conditions, such as the presence of national parks and endangered species. The presenters will provide the steps they used to achieve social and environmental sustainability in a capital-intensive natural gas pipeline project.
View On DemandIn this webcast, the data experts at Energy Web Atlas and editors of Pipeline & Gas Journal bring order to the construction chaos with a comprehensive update on key Permian-Gulf Coast pipeline projects and their overall impact on export capacity and production growth in this dynamic region.
View On DemandOil prices skidded in the final weeks of a turbulent 2018, but the midstream sector roared into the new year on a wave of pipeline construction activity driven by the global shift toward natural gas, the rapid growth of shale production, and the infrastructure demands created by changing patterns of interregional trade.
Tapping the power of Energy Web Atlas global pipeline datasets, Pipeline & Gas Journal has quantified the impact these midstream trends are having on global pipeline construction activity. Its latest survey indicates 145,353 miles of pipelines were planned or under construction worldwide at the start of the new year – a 73% increase over survey findings published in January 2017.
In this webcast, the editors of P&GJ will share region-by-region survey results and updates on major projects, with an emphasis on those scheduled for completion or final investment decisions in 2019. They also will share their latest perspectives on the potential impact of oil prices on midstream activity in key growth areas such as the U.S. Permian Basin and Gulf Coast region.
View On DemandJoin Energy Web Atlas' 30 minute webcast discussing how Europe's move away from power generated by nuclear fuel, heavy oil or coal is changing the energy supply balance. This webcast will feature data from HP Construction Boxscore on small-scale and large-scale LNG facilities in Europe. Our interactive demo will illustrate international LNG trade flows, ports that take these ships, and import terminals.
