Matrix Service Company’s subsidiary, Matrix Service Inc., has been awarded an engineering, procurement and construction contract by North Dakota Pipeline Company (NDP), a subsidiary of Enbridge Energy Partners.

NDP is expanding four existing crude terminal locations in North Dakota and Minnesota to support the proposed Sandpiper Pipeline Project (SPP). If approved, the 610-mile SPP will deliver Bakken light crude oil to U.S. and eastern Canadian refineries.

The contract includes seven aboveground storage tanks with capacity in excess of 1 MMbbls. Work will take place at terminal locations along the Sandpiper Pipeline including Beaver Lodge, Stanley and Berthold, ND as well as Clearbrook, MN.

Matrix Service also has a contract from Kinder Morgan Energy Partners that involves infrastructure improvements at the Houston Ship Channel. The portion of that project awarded to Matrix includes 12 aboveground storage tanks at the Kinder Morgan Export Terminal at Pasadena with capacity in excess of 1.1 MMbbls.
