Heerema Fabrication Awarded Centrica York Platform Order

Centrica Energy has awarded Heerema Hartlepool, one of the three fabrication locations of Heerema Fabrication Group (HFG), the EPCI contract for construction of the 2,750 ton York platform destined for the York Field Development gasfield in the UK Continental Shelf. At HFG’s Hartlepool fabrication facility construction of the platform started in April. The 1,300 ton topsides for the structure measures 20 meters in length, 15 meters in width and 16 meters in height. The 1,450 ton jacket, with a height of 69 meters and a footprint of 30 x 20 meters, will be installed in a water depth of approximately 43 meters.
