Caprock Midstream Expands South Texas Gas Pipeline Network, Names New CEO
Caprock Midstream has expanded its South Texas operations with the purchase of 90 miles of residue gas pipeline and named Steve Jones as its new CEO. The move boosts connectivity for Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk producers.
HOUSTON (P&GJ) — Caprock Midstream II LLC has expanded its South Texas footprint with the purchase of more than 90 miles of 16-inch and 20-inch residue gas pipelines across the dry-gas corridor, while also appointing industry veteran Steve Jones as its new chief executive officer.
The newly acquired pipeline system runs from central Webb County through La Salle, McMullen and southern Live Oak counties, delivering into the Transco market. Caprock said the additional capacity positions the company to support rising production in the Eagle Ford and Austin Chalk regions.
“This expansion marks an important milestone for Caprock as we continue to invest in South Texas and strengthen our service capabilities,” said Jones. “I’m proud to join this talented team and to partner with Energy Spectrum Capital in building on Caprock’s track record of success. We see significant opportunities for additional growth across our footprint as producers expand development activity.”
Jones brings more than 25 years of energy and midstream leadership experience.
Caprock Midstream II is backed by Energy Spectrum Partners VIII, LP, a Dallas-based private equity fund focused on energy infrastructure investments.
