UGI Acquires Gas Gathering Pipeline in the Marcellus

UGI Energy Services LLC, a subsidiary of UGI Corporation, has acquired midstream assets from Rockdale Marcellus LLC. These assets were purchased by its wholly owned subsidiary, UGI Texas Creek LLC.

Under the terms of the transaction, UGI Texas Creek acquired 100 percent of a midstream system located in Tioga, Lycoming and Bradford counties, Pennsylvania. The system is composed of more than 60 miles of natural gas gathering lines, along with dehydration and compression facilities. UGI Texas Creek also received a dedication from Rockdale for the 1 Tcf of gas to be produced from the 42,000 acres associated with the midstream system.

“Utilizing our expertise as a midstream operator, this acquisition enhances the buildout of natural gas infrastructure in the Appalachian Basin to further the production of Pennsylvania-produced, abundant natural gas and helps position UGI Energy Services as a premier provider of midstream services in the Appalachian Basin,” said Joe Hartz, president of UGI Energy Services. “These assets will extend UGI Energy Services’ reach through every step of the supply chain, from producers at the wellhead to storage to end-use customers, through direct pipeline delivery or by using LNG.”
