DeepOcean Awarded North Sea Pipeline Contract
DeepOcean has received an EPCI contract from Statoil to perform remote hyperbaric tie-in of the oil export pipeline on the Johan Sverdrup field in the North Sea.
The scope of work consists of project management, engineering, procurement and installation of the 36-inch oil export spool and remote hyperbaric tie-in of the oil export pipeline to the Johan Sverdrup riser platform with Statoil’s remote welding spread from the Pipeline Repair System base on Killingøy, Haugesund.
DeepOcean’s onshore project team will work out of the company’s offices in Haugesund, Norway. Offshore construction will be performed with DeepOcean’s Edda Freya vessel and is scheduled for 2018 or 2019.

The contract is part of Statoil’s Marine Wave #2 tender program.
