Wood Awarded Pipeline Services Contract in North Sea
Wood has been awarded a contract from Ancala Midstream Acquisitions Limited to act as operating partner of the Scottish Area Gas Evacuation (SAGE) system and Beryl pipeline.
Under the terms of the contract, Wood will manage the day-to-day operations of the SAGE system, a 323-kilometer pipeline that transports gas from the northern part of the Central North Sea to the SAGE terminal at St Fergus, north of Aberdeen, Scotland.
“We are delighted to be working with Ancala Midstream on these major pieces of infrastructure,” Robin Watson, Wood’s chief executive said. “This contract strengthens our operating partner portfolio in the UKCS and our commitment is to leverage our broad capabilities, differentiated expertise and innovative solutions to deliver safely and efficiently.”
The contract follows Ancala Midstream’s acquisition of the SAGE system and Beryl pipeline from Apache Corporation.
