STATS Expands European Pipeline Tool Network Through Patriot Deal
STATS Group has signed a European distribution agreement with Patriot International to expand access to pipeline repair, weld testing and mechanical connector technology across six countries.
(P&GJ) — STATS Group has signed a distribution agreement with Patriot International to expand the availability of its pipeline maintenance and repair technologies across six European markets.
The agreement covers the Netherlands, Belgium, France, Germany, Luxembourg and Spain and includes STATS’ localized hydrostatic weld testing tools, mechanical pipe connectors and pipe end plug systems.
Patriot will stock STATS equipment at facilities in the Netherlands and Belgium, a move the companies said is intended to reduce delivery times and improve service responsiveness for pipeline operators across mainland Europe.
The partnership expands STATS’ existing European distribution network beyond Scandinavia as demand grows for alternative pipeline maintenance methods that reduce downtime and avoid traditional hydrotesting procedures.
STATS said its localized weld testing tools are designed to minimize production interruptions by eliminating the need to flood and de-water large sections of pipe during maintenance work. The tools can also function as vapor barriers during hot work operations before being repositioned for leak testing.
The company’s mechanical pipe connector systems are designed as cold-work alternatives to welding for repairs, tie-ins and pipeline isolation projects.
Mike Kaiser, STATS’ business development manager for Europe, said pipeline operators are increasingly looking for technologies that improve maintenance efficiency and address evolving regulatory and operational requirements.
Patriot Managing Director Myles Campbell said the agreement strengthens STATS’ position in mainland Europe while allowing customers faster access to pipeline maintenance technologies and technical support.
