PRCI, Canada Regulator Partner on Pipeline Research, Safety
PRCI and the Canada Energy Regulator have signed an agreement to share research and collaborate on pipeline safety and integrity initiatives.
(P&GJ) — The Pipeline Research Council International (PRCI) and the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) have signed a memorandum of understanding to expand collaboration on pipeline safety, integrity and research sharing.
The agreement formalizes a cooperative relationship focused on sharing technical research and identifying areas for joint study across pipeline systems.
Under the MOU, PRCI will provide CER with access to up to 25 research reports per year, along with its AI-based search tool, while both organizations will meet regularly to review ongoing work and identify research gaps.
The collaboration is intended to support development of safer and more efficient pipeline infrastructure, while improving access to data and technical insights across the industry.
The agreement does not include funding commitments and allows for additional collaboration, including workshops and joint research efforts, as both organizations expand work on pipeline safety and integrity.
