Williams Adds Former EOG President, ArcLight Co-Founder to Board

Williams has appointed former EOG Resources President Billy Helms and ArcLight Capital Partners co-founder Robb Turner to its board of directors as the company continues advancing its natural gas growth strategy.

(P&GJ) — Williams has appointed former EOG Resources President Billy Helms and ArcLight Capital Partners co-founder Robb Turner to its board of directors, effective July 1.

Helms brings more than 40 years of oil and gas industry experience, including executive leadership roles at EOG Resources, where he most recently served as president after previously holding the positions of chief operating officer and executive vice president.

Turner has more than 35 years of experience spanning energy operations, corporate finance and infrastructure investing. He currently serves as chairman of The Madava Group and Revenant Energy and previously co-founded ArcLight Capital Partners, where he helped oversee investments across the energy sector.

Williams Chairman Stephen Bergstrom said the appointments support the company's natural gas growth strategy and strengthen board oversight.

"Williams is well positioned to support significant growth underway as demand for clean, reliable and affordable energy continues to increase," Chairman Stephen Bergstrom said. "Billy's deep operational and technical experience across the energy sector and Robb's broad background in energy operations, corporate finance and public and private energy investments will add valuable perspectives to the board."

Following the appointments, Williams' board will consist of 12 directors, 11 of whom are independent.

Helms currently serves on the board of SM Energy following its merger with Civitas Resources and holds a bachelor's degree in petroleum engineering from Texas Tech University.

Turner previously chaired Crowheart Energy before its sale to Williams and has invested in upstream, midstream, pipeline, terminal and energy infrastructure assets through The Madava Group. Before co-founding ArcLight in 2001, he advised on mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance transactions at Wall Street firms. Turner is a graduate of the U.S. Military Academy at West Point and holds an MBA from Harvard Business School.
