Southern Star has filed with FERC to sell 61 farm tap meters in Missouri, a small asset transfer with no impact on pipeline capacity or operations.
(P&GJ) — Southern Star Central Gas Pipeline has filed with federal regulators to sell 61 farm tap meters in Missouri, part of a small asset divestiture tied to its interstate pipeline system.
According to a notice from the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, the company is seeking authorization to transfer the meters to Spire Missouri under an abandonment by sale application.
The meters are located across multiple counties in Missouri and are connected to Southern Star’s pipeline network. The company said the transaction will not affect certificated capacity or existing shippers.
Southern Star also noted the project will involve no ground disturbance, with the facilities to be disconnected and transferred as-is. The total cost of the project is estimated at $264,000.
