INPEX, Pertamina Advance Indonesia’s Abadi LNG Project
INPEX and Pertamina expand collaboration on Indonesia’s Abadi LNG project, reinforcing efforts across the LNG value chain and regional gas development.
(P&GJ) — INPEX has expanded its collaboration with Indonesia’s Pertamina to support development of the Abadi LNG project, a major gas project in the Masela Block, according to a company announcement.
The agreement extends an existing memorandum of understanding between the companies and focuses on advancing the project’s broader LNG value chain.
The Abadi LNG project remains a central component of INPEX’s regional gas strategy, with the company continuing to progress development as operator. The updated agreement signals continued alignment between INPEX and Pertamina on moving the project forward, including coordination across upstream production and LNG infrastructure tied to future exports.
Separately, INPEX also signed an additional agreement with Pertamina’s upstream subsidiary to expand cooperation across Indonesia and Southeast Asia. While broader in scope, the partnership reinforces both companies’ focus on scaling gas and LNG development in the region, with Abadi positioned as a key long-term supply project.
