Cheniere Energy will appoint CEO Jack Fusco as chairman following the retirement of longtime board leader Andrea Botta, marking a leadership shift at the U.S. LNG exporter.
(P&GJ) — Cheniere Energy will appoint President and CEO Jack Fusco as chairman following the retirement of longtime board chairman G. Andrea Botta, effective after the company’s 2026 annual shareholders meeting.
Botta, who has served on the board since 2010 and as chairman for the past decade, will step down in May. Fusco will assume the combined role of chairman, president and chief executive officer, while Patricia Collawn will become lead director.
“Andrea has been an invaluable resource and partner to Cheniere and our shareholders throughout his tenure on the Company’s Board,” Fusco said. “On behalf of the Board, I would like to thank Andrea for his leadership, hard work and unwavering commitment to Cheniere.”
Fusco said his priorities as chairman will include maintaining operational performance and advancing growth across the company’s LNG assets, including Sabine Pass and Corpus Christi.
