Antin Acquires CNG, LNG Provider Sapphire Gas Solutions

Antin Infrastructure Partners has acquired Sapphire Gas Solutions, a U.S.-based provider of CNG and LNG infrastructure serving industrial and utility markets.

(P&GJ) — Antin Infrastructure Partners has acquired Sapphire Gas Solutions from funds managed by Apollo, expanding its footprint in U.S. natural gas infrastructure.

Sapphire, based in Conroe, Texas, provides compressed and liquefied natural gas services, including compression, liquefaction, transportation and storage. The company operates across 30 states and serves industrial, utility and renewable natural gas customers.

The business offers on-site and mobile gas solutions that support customers where pipeline access is limited or where additional supply flexibility is needed.

Founder and Chief Executive Officer Sam Thigpen will continue to lead the company following the transaction.

Antin said the acquisition aligns with growing demand for flexible gas supply and energy infrastructure as industrial and power markets expand.
