ADNOC Gas Habshan Facility Damaged, Supply Maintained Across Network

ADNOC Gas reported damage at its Habshan complex and Borouge facility in Abu Dhabi, though domestic gas supply continues uninterrupted through alternative operations.

(P&GJ) — ADNOC Gas said damage to its Habshan processing complex in Abu Dhabi has not disrupted domestic supply, with operations supported by other facilities across its network, according to reporting by Zawya.

The incident occurred April 3 after debris from air defense activity struck part of the site. The affected section has since been isolated, and the company is continuing to assess the extent of damage to the impacted processing train.

Despite the disruption, ADNOC Gas said it continues to meet domestic demand and is coordinating with international customers as needed. The company indicated that supply reliability has been maintained through operational flexibility across its broader system.

Separately, fires were reported at the Borouge petrochemical facility in the Ruwais Industrial Area following similar debris-related impacts. Production in affected units has been temporarily halted while inspections and repairs are carried out.

The incident also resulted in the death of a contractor at the Habshan site. Meanwhile, Borouge has been able to maintain product sales through alternative logistics routes amid broader regional disruptions, as reported by Zawya.
