TechnipFMC Awarded Subsea Contract for Exxon’s Hammerhead Project Offshore Guyana

TechnipFMC secured a $250–$500 million subsea contract to supply production systems for ExxonMobil’s Hammerhead project offshore Guyana, marking its seventh greenfield award in the Stabroek Block since 2017.

(P&GJ) — TechnipFMC has secured a contract valued between $250 million and $500 million from ExxonMobil Guyana Limited to deliver subsea production systems for the Hammerhead development in the Stabroek Block.

The scope of work includes project management, engineering, and manufacturing of subsea systems to support both production and water injection. The subsea architecture will feature components from the company’s Subsea 2.0® platform, including subsea trees, manifolds, and associated controls.

“Hammerhead is our seventh greenfield project award from ExxonMobil Guyana since the first development was sanctioned in 2017,” said Jonathan Landes, President, Subsea at TechnipFMC. “Our continued success stems from our ability to provide schedule certainty, built on our proven execution and the benefits of Subsea 2.0®. We look forward to continuing to deliver for ExxonMobil Guyana and strengthening our relationship through future opportunities.”

The Hammerhead project builds on ExxonMobil’s expanding offshore portfolio in Guyana, which has become a major hub for oil and gas development in recent years.
