Bridger Pipeline to Acquire 210 Miles of Caliber Midstream Assets in North Dakota
Bridger Pipeline will acquire 210 miles of Caliber Midstream crude oil and natural gas assets in North Dakota’s Williston Basin, expanding its gathering footprint and boosting Bakken takeaway capacity. The deal is expected to close in early 2026.
CASPER, Wyo. (P&GJ) — Bridger Pipeline LLC has signed a definitive agreement to acquire the crude oil and natural gas midstream assets of Caliber Midstream Partners LLC, expanding Bridger’s system across North Dakota’s Williston Basin.
The deal, expected to close in early 2026 pending regulatory clearance under the Hart-Scott-Rodino Act, will add significant scale to Bridger’s crude and gas gathering network. The acquired assets include approximately 170 miles of crude oil pipelines and related terminals and unload facilities, along with 40 miles of natural gas pipelines in central McKenzie County, N.D.
“The Caliber crude oil and natural gas assets are a perfect fit for Bridger’s growing system of Williston Basin midstream assets,” said Tad True, executive partner at Bridger. “This acquisition will expand the footprint of our crude oil and natural gas gathering systems into central McKenzie County, ND and allow us to better serve our customers. We look forward to continuing the growth and success that the Caliber team has achieved in recent years.”
Bridger said it is also advancing plans to expand mainline capacity along its corridor to Guernsey, Wyo., to address increased demand for Bakken takeaway options.
Bridger Pipeline, based in Casper, operates a 3,700-mile crude oil system across North Dakota, South Dakota, Montana and Wyoming.
