Explorer Pipeline Launches Open Season on Explorer Pipeline System

Explorer Pipeline Company (Explorer) has announced a binding open season to secure shipper commitments to support the development of a proposed new transportation service on Explorer’s pipeline system from its existing U.S. Gulf Coast receipt points to a new destination point in Galena Park, Texas (Project).

The binding open season commences today, February 3, 2020, and is scheduled to conclude on March 12, 2020.

Any shipper interested in becoming a committed shipper on the Project must make a volume commitment of at least 5,000 barrels per day. Shippers that make volume commitments to the Project will be assessed discounted rates compared to the rates assessed to walk-up shippers, with the amount of the discount dependent on the level of the shipper’s volume commitment. No priority capacity rights are being offered for transportation on the Project.

A copy of the Open Season Procedures, which provides a more detailed summary of the key terms and conditions of service for the Project, and copies of the pro forma transportation services agreements, will be available to any party with a bona fide shipping interest upon the execution of a confidentiality agreement. A form of the confidentiality agreement will be provided to any such interested parties upon request.

Any party interested in obtaining copies of the Open Season Procedures, the transportation services agreements, or that has any questions concerning the Project, should contact Sarah Sanford at (918) 493-5124 or ssanford@expl.com.
