Spire Inc. named Stephen Mills as senior vice president and president of Spire Missouri. In this role, Mills will oversee the state’s largest natural gas utility, including field operations in eastern and western Missouri, regulatory affairs and business and economic development. Mills’ new leadership position comes after serving since 2020 as vice president and general manager of Spire Missouri's operations in the western part of the state, including the greater Kansas City area, Joplin and St. Joseph. 

EQT Corporation appointed Jeremy Knop as chief financial officer following completion of the company’s previously announced succession process. He previously served as the executive vice president of Corporate Development. Knop assumed the new role, effective July 24.  

Jerry Duque has been named general manager of the HIMA business in North America, in addition to continuing as legal representative. He along with the rest of the HIMA Americas team, will continue to drive business growth in North America. Duque succeeds Frits Luikenaar, who retired in December 2022. With this appointment, the provider of safety-related automation solutions is pursuing its strategy of strengthening customer proximity in key markets and expanding its sales and service presence. 

CO2 compression and measurement systems-provider SCS Technologies appointed René Vandersalm as the company’s chief operating officer. During his more than 20 years at Thermon Manufacturing, he led the company’s heating solutions production division. Initially as European logistics manager and subsequently as the senior vice president of Operations, he helped shape the course of the company.  

Aurora Energy Services appointed Tom Smith as chief operating officer as it closes in on further acquisitions. The former general manager of the Mergers & Acquisitions office at the marine energy and infrastructure specialist Acteon Group, Tom Smith worked with Aurora owners Doug Duguid and Michael Buchan at EnerMech and PSL Energy Services. His experience in energy sector operations is coupled with high-level project management, business development and commercial roles in markets across Europe, Africa and Asia. 

Global integrated logistics company ASCO appointed Tony Wright as its chief financial officer, following the retirement of Gary Paver. He is an experienced financial professional with over 25 years of expertise in senior roles within the energy and construction sectors across the U.K., Middle East, South East Asia and Africa. Most recently, Tony was executive director and Group CFO of Lamprell PLC, a prominent energy construction and fabrication company, based in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). 

BCCK, an engineering and field construction company promoted Naomi Baker to vice president of engineering. Baker, who is based in The Woodlands, Texas, joined BCCK in 2022 as the director of engineering. She  is a professional engineer, who holds a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering from Texas Tech University. She is also co-inventor on 14 patents in natural gas liquids (NGL) recovery processes. 

Global integrated logistics specialist ASCO  appointed Mike Pettigrew as its new CEO. Formerly U.K. managing director, he will replace out-going CEO Peter France in October. Pettigrew joined ASCO in March 2022 as general manager for the group’s AFM and Seletar businesses and was appointed UK managing director last November. 

Angel Handlon is the new director of human resources at energy-related construction company Total-Western. She will oversee the development of a strategically aligned human resources department that continues to support employees and drives innovation and excellence across the Total-Western organization. Handlon earned her bachelor's degree in English from Hanover College and her MBA in Business & Human Resources Management from Indiana Wesleyan University.

HD Hyundai Construction Equipment North America added Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts, Inc., Lebanon, Pa., to its North American dealer network. Heavy Equipment, Loaders & Parts’ Hyundai-exclusive territory encompasses a large section of south-central Pennsylvania extending from east of Harrisburg westward through Chambersburg along the Pennsylvania-Maryland state line. The company expects to add to this territory the area surrounding its recently opened second facility in Somerset County.

 

Colonial Group announced it will relocate its corporate headquarters to 1375 Chatham Parkway, Savannah, Georgia. The newly acquired three-story office encompasses 99,000 square feet on more than 17 acres. The property also includes an additional 145,000 square foot warehouse. Building renovations are expected to begin soon, and Colonial Group intends to relocate the majority of their local corporate personnel to the new headquarters over time.

Inspection and technical staffing services company Fulkrum has been awarded a contract to provide third-party inspection services on Sempra Infrastructure’s Port Arthur LNG (PALNG) Phase 1 project in Port Arthur, Texas. This initial contract runs through to the end of the year, and the total contract value to Fulkrum is estimated at about $5 million. 

N2 Solutions (N2S), a supplier of nitrogen services to the pipeline sector, acquired PFS Nitrogen Services (PFS), a nitrogen technology company supporting the pipeline and petrochemical industry. Headquartered in Petal, Mississippi, PFS uses liquid nitrogen to create a secure ice plug within a pipe section, allowing for non-intrusive mechanical isolation. 


Associations 

The Ductile Iron Pipe Research Association will launch a nationwide search to replace outgoing President Patrick J. Hogan, who has raised the association’s profile as a resource for engineers and utilities looking for a superior pipe for drinking water systems. Hogan, who has led DIPRA for six years, departed the organization at the end of June. The Association expects a national search for his replacement to conclude by early Fall.
