Qatargas Delivers First LNG Cargo to New Terminal in Poland

In mid-December, a vessel with the first-ever delivery of LNG cargo arrived at the Polish LNG receiving terminal in Świnoujście. The cargo was supplied by Qatargas Operating Company Limited.  Polish Oil & Gas (PGNiG) provided its assistance as an intermediary in LNG delivery according to the agreement with the Polskie LNG (Polish LNG) – the receiver of the resource used for commissioning of the facility.

The Qatargas chartered Q-Flex vessel, Al-Nuaman, carrying 210,000 cubic meters of LNG, delivered the cargo at the newly constructed Świnoujście LNG receiving terminal. The cargo is the first of two planned cargoes that will be supplied by Qatargas for the cool-down and commissioning of the Polish LNG Receiving Terminal. The second delivery occurred in February.

The receiving terminal is designed to receive, regasify and deliver 5 billion cubic meter per annum (bcma) into the Polish transfer system. The project is in the commissioning stage with commercial operation planned to take place in the second quarter.
