Punj Lloyd-Limak JV Awarded TANAP Construction Contract

Punj Lloyd, in a 50-50 joint venture with Limak, was awarded the contract to construct 459 km of the 48-inch Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project (TANAP) gas pipeline in Turkey. Awarded by TANAP Doğalgaz İletim A.Ş., Punj Lloyd’s value of the project is US$ 204 million.

TANAP will be built to transport gas emanating from the South Caucasus Pipeline Company (SCPC) pipeline in Georgia and terminating into the Trans- Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) in Greece. The project aims to bring gas produced from Azerbaijan’s Shah Deniz-2 gas field and other areas of the Caspian Sea, primarily to Turkey and also on to Europe. The TANAP project, along with the South Caucasus Pipeline (SCP) and the Trans-Adriatic Pipeline (TAP) form the elements of the Southern Gas Corridor.
