NuStar Has Successful Open Season For South Texas Project

NuStar Energy’s affiliate, NuStar Crude Oil Pipeline, L.P., has received binding commitments from shippers filling all of the space available on Phase 1 of the partnership’s South Texas Crude Oil Pipeline System project. NuStar is receiving interest in Phase 2.

The proposed South Texas System project, which is divided into two phases, will include pipeline capacity upgrades to the segments of the South Texas Crude Oil Pipeline System between NuStar’s Gardendale Terminal in La Salle County, TX and NuStar’s Corpus Christi North Beach Terminal in Nueces County.

The first phase will add incremental throughput capacity to the South Texas Crude Oil Pipeline System of 35,000 bpd and is expected to be available to shippers in mid-2014. If NuStar proceeds with the second phase, it will add throughput capacity of 65,000 bpd and could be available by early 2015. Both phases will add a total aggregate incremental capacity of 100,000 bpd, of which 90,000 bpd will be available to committed shippers.
