RASGAS To Develop Gas Field In Arabian Gulf

RASGAS (a joint venture between Qatar Petroleum and ExxonMobil) plans to develop the multibillion-dollar Barzan natural gas project in the North Field reservoir offshore Qatar in the Arabian Gulf.

The project includes a natural gas offshore production system with conventional wellhead platforms, intrafield pipelines and 180 miles of up to 24-inch export pipeline to the onshore Barzan Gas Plant in Ras Laffan Industrial City. First-phase production is scheduled at 1.5 Bcfd.
