Russian Pipeline Readied To Supply Gas For 2014 Olympic Games

In 2014, the Winter Olympic Games will take place in the Russian resort town of Sochi. At the moment, large-scale construction works are being developed there – hotels, sport and infrastructure facilities are in the process of being built. Existing gas transportation facilities are insufficient to provide for the increasing demand in the region, and in order to solve this problem, OJSC Gazprom launched construction of the Dzhubga-Lazarevskoye-Sochi pipeline in 2009.
