Worley Wins Role on Aramco's Major Capital Projects Program
Worley has been selected as one of 11 contractors under a five-year agreement with Aramco to provide engineering, project management consultancy and technical services supporting the Saudi energy giant's capital projects across Saudi Arabia.
(P&GJ) — Worley has been selected as one of 11 contractors awarded a five-year long-term agreement by Aramco to provide project management consultancy services supporting the Saudi energy company's capital projects across the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The agreement will support Aramco's investment program across the energy, chemicals and resources sectors, with a focus on developing and delivering critical infrastructure that serves both domestic and global markets.
Under the agreement, Worley will provide engineering and design, project development studies, detailed engineering, procurement support, project and construction management, and technical expertise. The company also will help build local engineering capabilities in Saudi Arabia.
Work will be performed through Worley's offices in Saudi Arabia and the United Kingdom, with additional support from its Global Integrated Delivery network.
The agreement also calls for Worley to incorporate digital technologies, including artificial intelligence, digital twins, robotics, automation, augmented and virtual reality, digital scanning and smart energy solutions, while meeting Aramco's engineering and information security standards.
Chief Executive Officer Chris Ashton said the agreement extends a longstanding relationship between the companies.
"We are pleased to continue our relationship with Aramco of more than 50 years through this agreement," Ashton said.
"This framework agreement reflects our capability to provide integrated engineering and project management services across global portfolios."
Worley said the agreement is intended to support one of the world's largest capital investment programs across the energy, chemicals and resources industries.
