Kazakhstan Boosts Oil Exports via CPC, BTC Pipelines; Germany Flows Climb

Kazakhstan increased oil exports in Q1, with shipments to Germany rising sharply alongside higher volumes on CPC and BTC pipelines. The gains highlight steady growth in Caspian export flows to Europe.

(Reuters) — Kazakhstan increased oil exports in the first quarter, with shipments to Germany reaching 730,000 metric tons, up from 377,000 tons a year earlier, according to pipeline operator KazTransOil.

Pipeline flows also rose across key export routes. Volumes via the Caspian Pipeline Consortium (CPC) climbed to 1.33 million tons, an increase of 427,000 tons year over year, while shipments through the Baku-Tbilisi-Ceyhan (BTC) pipeline rose to 346,000 tons.

The gains reflect continued growth in Kazakhstan’s pipeline-driven export system, with CPC remaining the primary route for crude deliveries to international markets and BTC providing an alternative corridor to global buyers.
