
MPLX Names Former Encino COO Ray Walker to Board
MPLX LP has appointed Ray N. Walker, Jr., former COO of Encino Energy and Range Resources, to its board of directors as the company advances its natural gas and NGL growth strategy.
(P&GJ) — MPLX LP has elected Ray N. Walker, Jr. to the board of directors of MPLX GP LLC, the general partner of MPLX, effective immediately.
Walker most recently served as chief operating officer of Encino Energy until its recent acquisition by EOG Resources. Before that, he was executive vice president and COO of Range Resources Corporation beginning in 2014, after holding multiple leadership roles at the company, including senior vice president of the Marcellus Shale division.
"Ray is a highly respected executive in the oil and gas industry with extensive experience in the Marcellus and Utica basins," said Michael J. Hennigan, executive chairman of the MPLX board. "The board and leadership team look forward to Ray's operating and technical expertise as we continue to progress our natural gas and natural gas liquids growth strategy."
Christopher A. Helms, lead director of the MPLX board, added: “Ray's experience, perspectives and strategic insights are a great fit for MPLX.”
Walker also serves on the board of Solaris Energy Infrastructure, Inc. and holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Agricultural Engineering with honors from Texas A&M University.
