Blackline Safety Receives Gas Detection Order from ADNOC
ADNOC has placed its first order under a multi-year deal with Blackline Safety for up to 28,000 connected gas detectors. The rollout begins with 1,000 G6 wearable devices and 1,200 location beacons to improve worker safety at ADNOC facilities.
(P&GJ) — Blackline Safety Corp. said it has received the first order from Abu Dhabi National Oil Company (ADNOC) under a multi-year agreement covering up to 28,000 connected gas detectors and related services.
The initial order includes about 1,000 G6 wearable single-gas detectors with four years of service and 1,200 Blackline Location Beacons to improve signal coverage inside ADNOC facilities. The purchase was made through channel partner Al Masaood.
ADNOC, one of the world’s largest energy producers with output exceeding 4 million barrels of oil per day, will use the technology to enhance worker safety across its operations.
“This first order under the new agreement with ADNOC is an important milestone in our multi-year growth strategy in the Middle East,” said Andrea Lamond, vice president of growth operations and interim VP of international sales at Blackline Safety. “Through our partnership with ADNOC and Al Masaood, we are investing in the region and delivering advanced connected worker technology that helps protect workers while improving operational efficiency.”
The G6 detector provides real-time gas detection and worker location data, while Blackline’s Location Beacons enhance accuracy in indoor and GPS-limited environments. Blackline said its footprint in the Middle East has grown steadily in recent years as demand increases for connected safety solutions across the energy sector.
