Enterprise Reveals Permian Growth Projects; Takes Seminole Pipeline Out of Crude Oil Service

(P&GJ) — Enterprise Products Partners L.P. has announced four new capital projects in the Permian Basin and also revealed that it has begun initial steps to return the Seminole Pipeline, which has a capacity of 210,000 bbl/d of crude oil, to natural gas liquid (NGL) transportation service in December 2023.

CER Commission Recommends Approval of NorthRiver Midstream Connection Project

(P&GJ) — The Commission of the Canada Energy Regulator (CER) recommended approval of NorthRiver Midstream's NEBC Connector Project on Oct. 18. The project involves constructing and operating two parallel, 215-km (134-mile) natural gas liquids pipelines from B.C. to Alberta.

Keyera Completes 357-Mile Key Access Pipeline System

(P&GJ) — Keyera Corp. has successfully completed the Key Access Pipeline System (KAPS), a 575-kilometer (357-mile) NGLs and condensate pipeline. It will transport 350,000 barrels per day (bbl/d) of NGL and condensate from the Montney and Duvernay basins to Keyera's processing hub in Alberta's Industrial Heartland, Fort Saskatchewan.

Challenges of Converting Pipelines to Hydrogen Service

(P&GJ) — ASME B31.8, ASME B31.4, and CSA Z662 have well-deserved international reputations as best-in-class, evidenced by their frequent reference by documents within other jurisdictions. However, the standards don't contain explicit requirements to address the design, construction and operational challenges presented by transporting gaseous hydrogen at transmission pressures.
