Tallgrass Energy Partners today announced that the company has named Dean Dick to lead its crude oil gathering business. Dick has nearly 30 years of experience in crude oil transportation services including trucking, gathering, terminals and DOT regulated pipeline transportation.  Previously, he worked for Marathon Petroleum and Kinder Morgan in operations, facility development and expansion, new market development and pipeline optimization. Dick holds a BSEE from the University of Wyoming and an MBA from Grand Canyon University.

EQT Corporation Names New Midstream President and Chief Operating Officer

EQT Corporation has appointed Jeremiah J. Ashcroft III as senior vice president and president, midstream of EQT Corporation, effective August 7, 2017. Ashcroft was also appointed senior vice president and chief operating officer for EQT Midstream Partners, LP and will join the company’s board of directors. Trump Chooses Lawyer to Head FERC

WASHINGTON (AP) — President Donald Trump has nominated energy lawyer Kevin McIntyre to chair the vacancy-plagued commission that oversees the nation’s power grid and natural gas pipelines. Only one commissioner currently serves on the five-member Federal Energy Regulatory Commission, leaving it without a quorum and unable to make decisions on interstate pipelines and other projects worth billions of dollars. Tallgrass Energy Announces Leadership Change, Receipt of Settlement Payment

Rockies Express Pipeline LLC (REX) and Tallgrass Energy Partners, LP, REX’s operator, announced today that REX has received the cash payment of $150 million from Ultra Resources, Inc. in connection with the settlement of REX’s $303 million breach of contract claim, and that the payment has been distributed to its partners. As previously disclosed, Ultra has agreed to enter into a new seven-year firm transportation agreement with REX commencing Dec. 1, 2019, for service from west-to-east of 200,000 dekatherms per day at a rate of approximately $0.37, or about $26.8 million annually.
