American Midstream, Targa Announce Cayenne Pipeline Joint Venture

American Midstream Partners, LP (AMID) has entered into a joint venture agreement with Targa Midstream Services LLC to create Cayenne Pipeline, LLC. Cayenne will transport Y-grade NGLs from the Targa-operated Venice Energy Services Company, LLC gas processing plant to Enterprise Products Partners’ pipeline at Toca, Louisiana, for delivery to Enterprise Products Partners’ Norco Fractionator. As part of the Cayenne joint venture, AMID is contributing an underutilized natural gas pipeline that will convert into high value, natural gas liquids service. North Dakota Regulators Investigating Minnesota Contractor

BISMARCK, N.D. (AP) — A Minnesota contractor that damaged a natural gas pipeline in North Dakota last week has a history of striking pipelines. The damage caused the release of 126,000 gallons of natural gas liquids and shut down a gas processing plant for three days. State regulators who recently fined Carstensen Contracting of Pipestone, Minnesota, in another incident are investigating. President Brad Carstensen says the company took the necessary steps to locate underground pipelines, and is still investigating what happened. Gas Company Plans to Replace Pipeline Under Parachute Creek

PARACHUTE, Colo. (AP) — A company that owns a Colorado pipeline involved in the 2013 contamination of Parachute Creek is replacing the pipeline after the U.S. Department of Transportation decided it has regulatory authority over the line. EnLink to Move NGLs from Central Oklahoma to Gulf Coast

A subsidiary of EnLink entered into a long-term, fee-based agreement with a subsidiary of ONEOK to move NGLs from EnLink’s premier central Oklahoma position to EnLink’s Cajun-Sibon platform and the Mont Belvieu, TX trading and storage hub. NGL volumes from EnLink’s Chisholm processing complex will directly connect to EnLink’s Louisiana franchise, allowing EnLink to preferentially fill its Cajun-Sibon platform and providing new access to the growing Gulf Coast NGL hub. DCP Midstream to Expand Sand Hills NGL Pipeline

DCP Midstream, LP has announced an additional large scale expansion of the Sand Hills NGL Pipeline, with plans to initially spend $105 million towards long-lead equipment and right-of-way. This expansion is designed to initially increase capacity by 85,000 bpd up to approximately 450,000 bpd. This first phase will include partial looping of the pipeline and the addition of seven new pump stations at an estimated total cost of $500 million. Targa Resources Corp. today announced it intends to construct the Grand Prix Pipeline, a new common carrier natural gas liquids pipeline that will transport volumes from the Permian Basin and Targa’s North Texas system to the company’s NGL market hub at Mont Belvieu, Texas. Enterprise Products Partners L.P. today announced the construction of a new 571-mile pipeline to transport growing volumes of natural gas liquids from the Permian Basin to Enterprise’s NGL fractionation and storage complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas. The Shin Oak NGL pipeline will originate at Enterprise’s Hobbs NGL fractionation and storage facility in Gaines County, Texas. Wisconsin Tribe Wants Pipeline Moved From its Reservation

MADISON, Wis. (AP) — A Chippewa tribe in Wisconsin is calling for 12 miles of pipeline to be removed from its reservation after 64 years of operation, saying they want to protect their land and water from oil spills. The Bad River Band of Lake Superior Chippewa’s tribal council approved a resolution Wednesday refusing to renew easements for 11 parcels of land along a section of Enbridge’s Line 5 pipeline, which carries oil and natural gas liquids 645 miles from Canada to eastern Michigan.
