NDT Global, Aramco Unveil 56-inch Ultrasonic Pipeline Inspection Tool
(P&GJ) — NDT Global has launched a new 56-inch ultrasonic inline inspection tool, developed in partnership with Aramco, to meet the specific inspection needs of large-diameter pipelines.
Traditionally, methods like magnetic flux leakage (MFL) and caliper-based inspections were used for pipelines of this size, but NDT Global's new tool offers a more advanced solution.
The tool, the largest of its kind developed by NDT Global, can navigate complex pipeline networks while delivering precise crack and metal loss detection. "We are excited to partner with operators like Aramco to introduce our advanced ultrasonic inline inspection technology to their pipeline infrastructure," said Nathan Leslie, Vice-President of Product Management at NDT Global.
This new tool represents NDT Global's commitment to innovation in pipeline inspections, providing operators with valuable diagnostic data that supports predictive analysis and long-term risk management.
