Vision RNG Signs 20-Year RNG Deal with Waste Connections in Nebraska
Vision RNG LLC has finalized a 20-year renewable natural gas (RNG) agreement with Waste Connections subsidiary L.P. Gill, Inc., for a landfill project in Jackson, Nebraska.
The agreement will convert 1,200 cubic feet per minute of landfill gas into 310,000 MMBtu of RNG annually, with plans for increased production as the project progresses.
Once operational in 2027, the facility will inject the RNG into a nearby pipeline, providing transportation fuel and other sustainable energy solutions across the U.S.
“We are excited to further expand our partnership with Waste Connections,” said Bill Johnson, CEO of Vision RNG. “The addition of L.P. Gill Landfill to our growing portfolio of RNG projects is a significant step forward. By capturing and converting methane into clean RNG, we are not only reducing greenhouse gas emissions but also beneficially repurposing the gas in a sustainable manner.”
The project marks another expansion of Vision RNG’s growing portfolio of renewable energy initiatives.
