Kinder Morgan Launches Open Season for Texas-to-Arizona Pipeline Expansion
(P&GJ) — SFPP L.P., a subsidiary of Kinder Morgan Inc., has announced the commencement of a binding open season to secure commitments for a proposed expansion of its pipeline system from El Paso, Texas to Tucson, Arizona.
The open season commenced at 8:00 a.m. Central Standard Time on June 10, 2024, and is set to conclude at 5:00 p.m. Central Standard Time on August 9, 2024.
This expansion is projected to offer up to 10,000 barrels per day (on a gasoline equivalent basis) of incremental capacity for transporting diesel, meeting requirements for export to Mexico, as well as domestic grade products such as gasoline, jet fuel, and diesel, along the Texas-to-Arizona route.
The total expansion capacity will be scalable, contingent upon the level of interest received by SFPP during the open season. Interested parties can secure firm capacity by making take-or-pay volume commitments to SFPP during the binding open season. The expansion is anticipated to be operational by or before July 1, 2025.
Further details and documents pertaining to the open season will be provided upon execution of a confidentiality agreement with SFPP. For more information and access to the confidentiality agreement, interested parties can contact Doug Meyers, Director of Business Development in Kinder Morgan’s Products Pipelines group, at Doug_Meyers@kindermorgan.com or (713) 420-2856.
