(P&GJ) — Polyguard Products Inc., based in Texas, has become the master distributor for the Aquawrap and Powersleeve brands, manufactured by Field Applied Composites Systems (F.A.C.S.).
These new additions complement Polyguard’s existing product line, which includes the RD-6 Wrap and NHT-5600 two-part epoxy. Aquawrap and Powersleeve expand Polyguard's range of solutions, which the industry has relied on for over 70 years.
Polyguard will stock Aquawrap and Powersleeve products and accessories at its headquarters in Corsicana, Texas, aiming to provide quicker access for customers in the region.
Aquawrap BP-1 is a low-cost composite system designed for repairing and reinforcing mechanical systems, structures, and piping. It uses factory-impregnated fabric with a proprietary resin system and BP-1 urethane primer, which is odorless and solvent-free. Cured Aquawrap is a durable, high-strength material that bonds to various surfaces, including metals, composites, concrete, plastics, and wood. It meets ASME PCC-2 standards and is certified to ANSI/NSF Standard 61.
Powersleeve Carbon is available in two bi-axial fabrics: a 12-inch wide, 18 oz. stitched fabric, and a 6 oz. tape in 2-inch, 4-inch, and 6-inch widths for smaller diameter pipes. Designed for high-strength applications, Powersleeve can be used to repair and reinforce mechanical systems, structures, and piping. It bonds permanently to surfaces like metals, composites, concrete, plastics, and wood, offering a cost-effective alternative for large diameter piping systems.
