Expansion Proposed for Texas-Colorado NGL System
Enterprise Products Partners, Enbridge, Western Gas Partners and DCP Midstream have announced binding open seasons to solicit commitments for additional capacity on a 1,018-mile NGL system between Colorado and Texas. The system, which includes the Front Range and Texas Express pipelines, transports mixed NGLs from the DJ Basin in Weld County, Colo. to Enterprise's NGL fractionation and storage complex in Mont Belvieu, Texas. Enterprise, Western Gas, and DCP Midstream jointly own Front Range, with Enterprise, Enbridge, Western Gas and DCP Midstream jointly owning Texas Express.
Subject to customer commitments, the proposed expansions will increase capacity on the system by approximately 190,000 bpd. Enterprise will be responsible for construction, which will consist of installing additional pump stations. Service is expected to begin in the second quarter of 2019.
The open seasons will commence May 4, 2018 and conclude June 4, 2018.
