M² Subsea Awarded Pipeline Contract in the Gulf of Mexico
M² Subsea has secured a multi-million dollar contract with TransCanada to carry out pipeline-span support on the company’s pipeline installation for the Sur de Texas-Tuxpan gas project in the Gulf of Mexico.
The scope of work includes the installation of grout supports along the southern leg of the pipeline to prevent stress during installation and hydrostatic testing.
As part of the project, M² Subsea will manage the project working closely with local partner, Mexican-based Frontera Resources, utilizing the Mexican flagged multi-purpose support vessel Tehuana.
“This is our second project with Frontera in the Mexican sector and we’re looking forward to building our relationship through the delivery of safe, sustainable subsea work scopes,” Mike Arnold, M² Subsea Chief Executive Officer, said. “Local content is an integral part of our growth plan and we are extremely proud of the strong partnerships we have built with all of our suppliers in Mexico.”
M² Subsea’s Houston office will be responsible for completing the project, with support from the company’s UK team and local partners in Mexico.
