Pipeline Construction Project Placed in Service

China National Petroleum Corporation (CNPC) has commenced operations on an 88-kilometer natural gas pipeline connecting a liquefied natural gas terminal in Rudong with Shanghai’s Chongming Island.

The pipeline has an annual capacity of 1.84 billion cubic meters and is designed to increase the supply of natural gas to the city’s more than 24 million residents.

The project is CNPC’s third natural gas pipeline to Shanghai.
