Construction Begins on Key TANAP Section

Construction is underway on the 19-kilometer section of the Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline Project in the Marmara Sea.

Sapura Energy’s Sapurakencana 1200,  a 153-meter, 32,504 ton vessel, is currently in the process of laying natural gas pipes on the shore of Kemer village in the district of Biga in Çanakkale Province.

Once completed, the 1,850-kilometer Trans Anatolian Natural Gas Pipeline, which will run from Ardalan located on the border between Turkey and Georgia to İpsala located on the border between Turkey and Greece, will connect with the Trans Adriatic Pipeline to deliver natural gas from Azerbaijan to Europe via Turkey.
