Tesoro Receives Pipeline Contract in Mexico

As a result of an Open Season Public Auction held by Pemex Logística, Tesoro has received a three-year contract to store and transport refined fuels via Pemex’s Baja California and Sonora systems.

For the Baja California system, Tesoro was awarded the following storage and transportation capacities:

  • Terminal Rosarito: 155,281 barrels
  • Terminal Mexicali: 8,997 barrels
  • Terminal Ensenada: 16,628 barrels
  • Pipeline Rosarito-Mexicali: 2,300 barrels per day
  • Pipeline Rosarito-Ensenada: 2,350 barrels per day

For the Sonora system, Tesoro was awarded the following storage and transportation capacities:

  • Terminal Guaymas: 108,377 barrels
  • Terminal Ciudad Obregón: 7,814 barrels
  • Terminal Hermosillo: 7,479 barrels
  • Terminal Magdalena: 2,784 barrels
  • Terminal Nogales: 11,534 barrels
  • Terminal Navojoa: 1,785 barrels
  • Pipeline Guaymas-Hermosillo: 2,571 barrels per day
  • Pipeline Guaymas-Ciudad Obregón: 2,314 barrels per day

According to Pemex, 22 companies submitted bids as part of the Open Season ublic Auction, and bids were received for all capacities offered.
