Morocco, Nigeria Sign MoU for Gas Pipeline

The Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and the Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines in Morocco have signed a Memorandum of Understanding to determine the modalities of undertaking a feasibility study and a FEED study concerning the Morocco -Nigeria Gas Regional Pipeline, a project designed to help create a competitive electricity regional market in West Africa.
According to the terms of the MoU, the Nigerian National Petroleum Corporation and the Office National des Hydrocarbures et des Mines will share equal partnership in governance, management and financing of the project, and both studies are anticipated to be completed within two years.
