FERC OKs Placing East Meter Pipe Facilities in Service

FERC has approved Cheniere Energy’s request to place into service the East Meter Pipe Project facilities at the Sabine Pass Liquefaction site in Cameron Parish, Louisiana.

“Based on our January 12, 2017 compliance inspection and documentation provided, the EMP Project facilities have been constructed in accordance with Commission approval and applicable standards and can be expected to operate safely as designed,”  J. Rich McGuire, Director, Division of Gas — Environment and Engineering, with FERC, said.

McGuire also added that based on the agency’s inspection, the project areas within the terminal have been satisfactorily stabilized.
