Phillips 66, partners begin open season on Bayou Bridge Pipeline

Bayou Bridge Pipeline (BBP) launched a binding expansion open season to assess additional interest in service from Nederland, TX to refining markets in Louisiana. Bayou Bridge is jointly owned by subsidiaries of Phillips 66, Energy Transfer Partners, and Sunoco Logistics Partners.

Construction is already underway on the BBP 30-inch pipeline segment from Nederland,to Lake Charles, LA. The partners expects commercial operations for the segment to begin in the first quarter of 2016. The results of the open season will be used to determine the diameter of the BBP pipeline segment from Lake Charles to St. James, LA.

At St. James, BBP has agreed to a connection with NuStar Energy L.P.’s crude oil terminal and is in discussions with additional parties to connect to the extensive existing crude oil terminalling infrastructure in the region, including the Plains Marketing, crude oil terminal. The in-service date for commercial deliveries by Bayou Bridge to St. James, Louisiana, is forecast for the second half of 2017.
