Endress+Hauser

Endress+Hauser offers the Prosonic Flow P 500 measuring system, a device that requires only minimal straight inlet runs and can be installed directly onto the exterior of the pipe, so there is no need to interrupt operations.

In contrast to mechanical meters with high maintenance requirements, ultrasonic flowmeters have no moving parts. It can be mounted on a wide variety of pipeline types, including  steel or cast-iron and plastic. A special, maintenance-free contact foil (coupling pad) provides optimum sound transmission between the sensor surface and the pipe. Depending on the line size, fluid, and pipe material, the sensors are delivered with different ultrasonic frequencies (0.3, 0.5, 1, 2 or 5 MHz) to provide maximum signal quality and, thus, a high level of accuracy and repeatability. www.endress.com

Trimble

Trimble offers its TSC5 Controller, a new rugged-yet-lightweight field solution. The welder features a 5-inch screen, keypad and all-day battery for reliable field data collection. Its ergonomic design is lightweight, easy to grip and ideal for rugged environments.

The TSC5 is resistant to shock, dust and water. A brightly lit, anti-glare screen and backlit alphanumeric keypad enable fast, efficient operation in tough conditions, even while wearing gloves. The controller’s battery provides all-day power on a single charge, with the optional external battery nearly doubling the power for extended use. Featuring an Android 10 operating system, the Trimble TSC5 is fully integrated with Trimble’s land and construction surveying instruments and software packages, including Trimble Access 2021 Field Software and Trimble Siteworks Software. www.trimble.com

Honeywell

Honeywell made available two Bluetooth-connected gas detectors that can deliver continuous monitoring for dangerous gases in fog, rain, snow and other inclement weather.

The Searchline Excel Plus and Searchline Excel Edge allow devices to stay online in weather conditions with worse visibility and at longer distances than before. The Excel Plus monitors feature short- and mid-range applications from 6 to 393 feet (2 to 120 meters), while the Excel Edge provides long-range perimeter or fence line monitoring from 196 to 1,083 feet (60 to 330 meters). www.sps.honeywell.com

Sensor Networks

Sensor Networks Inc. (SNI) introduce a new line of high-temperature ultrasonic (UT) transducers designed specifically for operation at temperatures of up to 200 degrees C (392 degrees F). Performing inspections of “hot assets” requires transducers that are engineered with materials capable of transitioning to, and operating at, the higher temperatures associated with online oil and gas, and power generation applications. SNI has developed and extensively tested a family of phased array ultrasonic testing (PAUT) arrays and wedges, time-of-flight diffraction (TOFD) transducers/wedges and dual linear arrays. The new transducer designs protect the user’s investment in the various probes while simultaneously realizing any flaws within the aforementioned high-temperature assets. www.sensornetworkscorp.com

Dinkle

Dinkle International added to its 0229 Series portfolio of connectors used to provide pluggable connectivity between wires for inline splicing, and from wires to printed circuit boards (PCBs).

The compact units are designed for installation in constrained spaces and are available in mating plug designs with various pin counts of up to 40 poles. The connectors work with wire sizes from 28 AWG to 14 AWG solid or stranded conductor. In addition, Dinkle’s spring cage is easily operated, using press-to-release tabs, so users can install and remove any solid or stranded wires as needed without tools. Contact surfaces are wide, ensuring reliable operation at up to 300 V and 12 A (UL). The connectors are compliant with UL 1059 and IEC 61984. www.dinkle.com/en

Juniper

Juniper Systems introduced the Geode GNS3 GNSS Receiver, which allows users to collect real-time global navigation satellite system (GNSS) data with sub-meter, sub-foot and decimeter accuracy options without the high cost or complexity of other precision receivers.

Available in both single-frequency and upgradable multifrequency antenna configurations, users have the level of accuracy needed to get the job done. The Geode GNS3S (single frequency) offers superb sub-meter accuracy with a single-frequency antenna. The GNS3M (multifrequency) allows for scalable accuracy. Its multifrequency antenna includes support for all constellations on L1, L2, and L5 frequencies. A USB-C port allows for data transfer and fast charging and an antenna port allows for the use of an external antenna if desired. www.junipersys.com

ROSEN

The Blind Zone Scanner introduces a new feature for the ROSEN TBIT Ultra Service for inspection of aboveground storage tanks. This service can detect and size even the smallest metal loss defects, enabling decision-making for the integrity management of storage tanks.

The scanner complements the tank floor scan and allows for maximum detection coverage, reducing uninspected areas by 75%. Among its features, it reduces out-of-service hours and health, safety and environment (HSE) risk by outperforming manual ultrasonic (UT) inspection, has the ability to scan blind areas of conventional tank floor scanners and can scan below obstacles such as internal piping and heating coils, and facilitate full capture and storage of high-resolution mapping data. www.rosen-group.com
