Sensirion unveils its 5-V SHT4xI-Digital humidity sensor, which is designed for conducting measurements under harsh conditions in industrial applications. The expanded series of fourth-generation humidity sensors includes its SHT4xI-Digital sensor platform, which has been designed specifically for challenging industrial applications. The series consists of two accuracy versions SHT40I and SHT41I, which offer 5-V supply voltage, outstanding reliability and increased ESD protection. SHT4xI-Digital is based on Sensirion’s proven CMOSens Technology, which ensures maximum reliability, as demonstrated by extensive accelerated lifetime tests, such as 185°F (85°C)/85% RH for 1,000 hours. The sensor enables seamless integration with its wide operating voltage range, small size and robust housing. It works well under harsh conditions in industrial applications, the company said. www.sensirion.com

Polygon offers composite tubes and bearings that meet the high-pressure conditions and toughest design challenges in the oil and gas industry. Applications for the high-performance composites include exploration sensor housings, valves, platform cranes and sheaves, actuators, blow-out preventers, pumps, top drives, drill components and draw works. The composites and component resins can withstand the high temperatures that oil and gas technologies are frequently subjected. The composite bearings and tubing are highly machinable and ensure the easiest possible drill-outs, ensuring efficiency in production and in the field. www.polygoncomposites.com

Companies can improve productivity of legacy equipment with the new ProSoft IEC 61850 client communication module for ControlLogix systems from Rockwell Automation. The module allows ControlLogix control systems to interface with 61850 intelligent electronic devices (IEDs) to deliver critical equipment control and energy consumption information. This visibility can help management teams immediately improve production efficiency and optimize power use. The module also supports up to 40 IEDs on a parallel redundancy protocol (PRP)-enabled network and up to 225 input/output (I/O) connections. It features a generic object-oriented substation event (GOOSE) publisher to support GOOSE messaging. The GOOSE publisher provides a mechanism to interlock relays or load shed using the IEC 61850 communications network, and it helps eliminate hard wiring to the I/O modules.

Trimble offers its TSC5 Controller, a new rugged-yet-lightweight field solution. The welder features a 5-inch screen, keypad and all-day battery for reliable field data collection. Its ergonomic design is lightweight, easy to grip and ideal for rugged environments. The TSC5 is resistant to shock, dust and water. A brightly lit, anti-glare screen and backlit alphanumeric keypad enable fast, efficient operation in tough conditions, even while wearing gloves. The controller’s battery provides all-day power on a single charge, with the optional external battery nearly doubling the power for extended use. Featuring an Android 10 operating system, the Trimble TSC5 is fully integrated with Trimble’s land and construction surveying instruments and software packages, including Trimble Access 2021 Field Software and Trimble Siteworks Software.

RegO introduced Presto-Tap, the industry’s only UL-listed liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) system leak test devices to its portfolio. Adding the full line of Presto-Tap devices to its portfolio of LPG valves, regulators and tank hardware enables the company to provide a fast, low-emissions way to perform required National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) system leak tests. RegO provides an online calculator to project the total savings available, with the devices and valves, factoring in the cost of the technician’s time, service call expenses and the cost of excess LPG emissions. RegO also offers the LDS2000 RV fitting, a series of Presto-Tap LDS brass pigtails, as well as tank pressure fittings (TPF Series) for installation between the tank service valve and the first-stage regulator.

Antaira Technologies expanded its industrial wireless applications with the introduction of the ARS-7235-5E-AC series, which is an industrial IEEE 802.11a/b/g/n/AC wireless LAN access point with added router capabilities and 5-gigabit Ethernet ports. It is designed for enterprise and industrial wireless applications and allows a user to position the wireless antennas in a better signal-broadcasting location for improved wireless coverage and signal strength. The 5-gigabit Ethernet ports also can be used for LAN data transmission. The wireless devices are embedded with the Qualcomm IPQ4029 SoC chipset, has dual-band 2.4GHz/5GHz concurrent, and supports high-speed data transmission of up to 867Mbps.
