Garcia

Rosa García was appointed as new chairwoman of Madrid-based liquids distribution and storage logistics provider Exolum, succeeding José Luis López de Silanes, who served as chairman for 16 years and will now become honorary chairman. She brings three decades of experience in multinational environments across different industries, including energy, infrastructure and technology. As part of her long career, Garcia served as director of Corporate Strategic Projects for Microsoft at its U.S. headquarters, working directly with the CEO and president. She also was president of Microsoft Iberia and served as chairwoman and board member for Siemens in Spain. Garcia also has more than 10 years of experience in non-executive management positions for IBEX-listed companies, including Banesto, Acerinox and Bankinter. She is currently a Board Member at Mapfre, EDPR and Sener.    

Tom Lassu has been promoted to president of the Ledcor Group of Companies, succeeding Ron Stevenson, who continues as vice chairman of its board of directors.  Lassu, a Professional Engineer, has been with Ledcor for over 35 years and served as president of Ledcor Industries since 2016 and served on the Ledco board of directors since 2014.  Stevenson’s career at the company has spanned more than 50 years, including 37 years of service on its board of directors. Jeff Watt was promoted to president, Ledcor Industries, succeeding Lassu.  Watt will continue to provide leadership to the Ledcor Constructors executive team and assume oversight of Ledcor’s Construction and LTS operating groups. He had served as president of Ledcor’s Energy, Mining and Infrastructure operations since 2017.   

McDill

Atmos Energy announced that John McDill has been promoted to senior vice president of utility operations. In his new role, McDill will be responsible for the operations of Atmos Energy’s six utility divisions in eight states, as well as Gas Supply. McDill has been with Atmos Energy for 34 years, working first as an engineer and then in operations.  He served as vice president of operations for Atmos Energy’s Mississippi Division for 10 years before assuming his most recent role as corporate vice president for Pipeline Safety in 2012. McDill succeeds David Park who stepped down to pursue graduate work and ministry.   

Hanemann
Hanemann

Public Service Enterprise Group announced that Kim Hanemann has been named president and chief operating officer (COO) of Newark-based Public Service Electric and Gas Company (PSE&G), New Jersey’s oldest and largest publicly owned utility, serving 2.6 million customers.  She succeeds David M. Daly, who will retire at the end of 2021 after 35 years of service. Hanemann also serves as a member of the Executive Officer Group at parent company Public Service Enterprise Group (PSEG). Previously, she had been senior vice president and COO of PSE&G and held numerous leadership positions in electric and gas field operations and in utility support operations.

Kazi Hasan has been named senior vice president and chief financial officer of Puget Energy and Puget Sound Energy, replacing Daniel Doyle, who continues as senior vice president, reporting to President and CEO Mary Kipp on matters related to the Puget companies’ next five-year plan. In his new role, Hasan is responsible for leading the strategy and execution of financial areas of the company, including accounting and financial reporting, financial planning and analysis, tax, treasury, risk management and investor relations. Most recently, Hasan was chief financial officer of Cleco Corporate Holdings and previously spent more than 20 years at AES Corporation, where he held several executive roles, including chief risk officer.

UGI Corporation announced that Jean Felix “JF” Tematio Dontsop has been named vice president, chief accounting officer and controller. Dontsop joins UGI after serving as vice president of Internal Audit for West Pharmaceuticals. Previously, he held several roles of increasing responsibility over 15 years with PricewaterhouseCoopers based in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, and Paris, France, including audit director of large manufacturing companies.

Xcel Energy has named Paul Johnson as treasurer.  Johnson previously served as vice president of Investor Relations and will now lead both the Treasury and IR teams, realigning them into a combined organization. With more than three decades of experience at Xcel Energy, Johnson has established relationships with the company’s credit rating agencies, investors, industry analysts and other stakeholders.

Larry Kerr has been appointed CEO of GD Energy Products, the newly renamed company previously known as Gardner Denver High Pressure Solutions.  Kerr brings 36 years of industry experience to his new role, including a decade at Gardner Denver.  

Morrison

Geoff Morrison has been appointed as CFO of Vysus Group in the company’s Aberdeen office. He joins the leadership team as the firm approaches its first year as a standalone business, following the carve-out of Lloyd’s Register’s energy division.  Morrison has more than 20 years of experience working in the energy industry, with previous roles leading global finance and operational teams across transnational businesses.

Crowley Maritime Corporation announced the appointment of Massimo Messina as vice president, mergers and acquisitions. Based in Jacksonville, Florida, Messina will lead Crowley’s corporate expansion goals by identifying and assessing potential M&A candidates and execute transactions that align with the company’s growth plans. Most recently, he served as president at BG Strategic Advisors, an M&A advisory firm focused on the logistics and supply chain industry.  

Fioranelli
Fioranelli

Air Liquide company Airgas, the U.S. supplier of industrial gases, welding technologies and safety products, has named Marcelo Fioranelli as CEO, succeeding Pascal Vinet. In his new role, Fioranelli will also serve as a director at Airgas and as group vice president and member of the executive committee at Air Liquide. He has nearly 30 years of experience in the industrial gas industry with specialization in strategy, general management and business development.

Jay Worley, who began his career with Airgas in 1993, succeeds Andy Cichocki as chief operating officer.  Worley previously served as President – West Division and has held a number of key roles for Airgas in Distribution Operations, Communications and Investor Relations, Finance, Sales and Human Resources.   

Patranella

Mayer Brown announced that Sam Patranella has joined the firm’s Houston office as a partner in the Corporate & Securities practice, where he will focus on energy and private equity transactions. Previously, Patranella was vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary for Luxe Energy and Luxe Minerals, where he was also an initial member.
