Plains All American appointed Dan Noack to the recently created role of vice president, Emerging Energy and Process Optimization and the formation of a cross-functional Emerging Energy team. Noack has more than 25 years of energy industry experience and served as vice president of Operations for Plains’ natural gas storage business since 2008. He holds a bachelor’s of science degree in Mechanical Engineering from LeTourneau University.
Max Midstream announced Jonathan Novinsky has been named chief executive officer. Novinsky joins Max Midstream having previously served as vice president of Commercial Development for Global Marine Terminals at Buckeye Partners since 2014. Novinsky has extensive leadership experience and has served as vice president of PetroChina International (America) and senior trading manager for Chevron Texaco Fuel and Marine Marketing.
Renaud Lions was appointed senior vice president of Investor Relations at Total Energies, succeeding Ladislaw Paszkiewicz, who moved to a different position in the company. Lions began his career in 1997 as a wellsite geologist in Exploration & Production. He then alternated between operational duties in France, Libya and Nigeria and business-oriented positions, notably as a negotiator for new ventures. He joined the Corporate Acquisitions/Disposals Department in 2015, where he participated in the Maersk Oil acquisition, and became vice president Exploration North & South America, based in Houston, in 2018.
Apache Industrial Holdings named Stephen Hillier as chief executive officer, assuming will assume day-to-day leadership of the company and its subsidiaries: Apache Industrial Services, Apache Industrial United and Skyway Canada. Hillier brings 25 years in sales, operations and general management, with experience leading businesses in the engineering, construction, manufacturing/O&M, and industrial solutions and services sectors.
Takeuchi-US named Guy Waggoner as its new Western Region business manager, based in Folsom, California. In his new role, Waggoner is responsible for all sales development activity and market share objectives in Arizona, Utah, Nevada, Oregon, Washington State, Idaho, California and Hawaii. His duties will include dealer development and recruitment, inventory control, collections, forecasting, promotions and national and direct accounts support. He previously was West Coast regional sales manager for Hyundai Construction Equipment.
The Southern Goas Association (SGA) named Amber Outing as its new director of Committee and Member Engagement and Shasta Foy as senior manager of Education and Credentialling, a new position. Outing has served both the public and private sectors in community relations, public affairs and stakeholder connections roles. Foy previously served in various roles at the Society of Petroleum Engineers International for most of the past two decades, most recently as senior technical activities manager.
Maren Prasad joined gas detection sensor technology company NevadaNano as chief product architect and delivery officer to guide development of hardware-enabled SaaS products to reduce methane emissions. Maren brings nearly 30 years of experience to the company, including leadership roles at Antisugar, emitter Corporation (now part of Siemens), and Cell Net Data Systems (acquired by Schlumberger). He holds a patent for Message-Bus-Based Advanced Meter Information System with Applications for Cleaning, Estimating and Validating Meter Data.
Jason A. Hill, a former chief administrative judge of the Interior Board of Land Appeals and deputy solicitor for Energy and Mineral Resources at the U.S. Department of the Interior, has joined Hunton Andrews Kurth LLP’s environmental and natural resource team as a counsel and will lead its public lands practice. Hill will split time between the firm’s Washington and Houston offices.
Marine services contractor Phoenix International, which provides underwater solutions, design engineering and project management services, announced the appointment of Chris Williams as vice president, Manned Operations. In this new role, he will be responsible for planning, training and execution of Phoenix’s diving and atmospheric diving system (ADS) operations. A 20-year veteran of the U.S. Navy, who served in diving and engineering roles before joining Phoenix as Norfolk general manager in 2018, Williams will ensure that general and area managers have the resources needed to meet client needs and grow the company’s underwater solutions business.
Global integrated solutions specialist EnerMech appointed David Molloy as general counsel and head of contracts to support the business as it continues to grow in new territories and regions. Molloy has more than 20 years of in-house legal experience in the energy sector, most recently as general counsel for an executive team developing a large-scale petroleum refinery complex.
Atlanta-based Pond promoted William Anderson to associate principal and vice president of Energy. In his new role, William will lead Pond’s Commercial and Utility business development teams and continue to serve energy clients worldwide. Anderson spent most of his career at Southern Company Gas before entering the pipeline construction industry and, more recently, the utility integrated supply and sales business.
The Board of Directors of UTEX Industries announced the retirement of CEO Mike Balsa and establishment of a new Office of the CEO comprised of Chairman Jeff Cullman, Director Piotr Gallitzin and Vice President of Operations Wellons Pierre. In this structure, Gallitzin will serve as the CEO of UTEX with daily responsibility for the business.
