Actuators Specified for Long-Haul Pipeline in India

A currently under construction 435-mile (700-km) pipeline from southern India to a key refinery has selected hundreds of Rotork actuators for the project, according a company spokesman.  The pipeline company chose the CML-1500 and CML-3000 actuators “primarily for their fail-safe, motor-operated valve (MOV) and modulating globe valve operation,” Rotork said. The actuators will be installed at remote locations, where manual operation is not practical.  Electro-hydraulic SI actuators will also be installed to provide safety critical fail-safe duties on the pipeline.
