The Pennsylvania Independent Oil & Gas Association (PIOGA) selected a new president and executive director following the retirement of Louis D’Amico. Daniel Weaver, 37, will replace D’Amico, who served 22 years in the position. He will continue to serve in a consulting capacity.

Personnel Changes 

Henkels & McCoy, named Kevin Shoosmith as vice president of Gas and Underground, East Region.

Dr. James Seaba has joined GTI as senior director of Technology Development.

Exelon named Maggie FitzPatrick senior vice president of Corporate Affairs, Philanthropy and Customer Engagement.

Concentric Energy Advisors added two employees to its regulatory consulting practice. Ralph Zarumba joined the firm as vice president and Gregg Therrien as an assistant vice president.

The Williams Companies’ Board of Directors appointed new independent directors to its Board: Stephen W. Bergstrom, Scott D. Sheffield and William H. Spence. The three will stand for election at the annual meeting of stockholders on Nov. 23.

Emco Wheaton increased it Americas sales team with Chris Garrison named territory sales manager for the western U.S. and Xavier Contreras named territory sales manager for northern Latin America with a focus on Mexico.

Blackeagle Energy Services added members to its management team: Kevin Jackson, Bryan Niesent, and Nathan Abraml.

Plains All American Pipeline announced several officer promotions and related actions. Mark Gorman, executive vice president of Operations and Engineering, will be a special advisor to the president and COO, U.S. Dan Nerbonne, senior vice president Engineering, has been promoted to executive vice president Operations and Engineering. Phil Smith, vice president of Operations, has been promoted to senior vice president Operations. Dwayne Koehn, vice president of Engineering, will lead the Engineering, Integrity and Technical Services organizations.

Craig Harris joined Enable Midstream Partners as executive vice president and chief commercial officer.

American Midstream Partners appointed Regina Gregory as senior vice president, general counsel and corporate secretary. She succeeds William Mathews, who served as general counsel since 2009.

Darrell Hollek, formerly executive vice president, U.S. Onshore Exploration and Production at Anadarko Petroleum was named executive vice president, Operations with responsibility for U.S. onshore E&P and midstream activities, along with Gulf of Mexico and international operations. Ernie Leyendecker, formerly senior vice president, International Exploration, was named executive vice president, International and Deepwater Exploration.

Richard A. Burnett has joined Double Eagle Energy Holdings II as its CFO. Burnett brings two decades of financial management, accounting and public company expertise to Double Eagle’s executive leadership team.

Akkerman has entered into a dealership contract with Underground Construction Supply (UCS) Mexico as sole Akkerman equipment representative in Mexico and Central America. UCS Mexico was established in 2013 to support the underground construction market and has since diversified to address contractors’ needs in the trenchless pipe jacking and tunneling, HDD, pipe bursting, trenching and vacuum excavation markets.

Verisk Analytics, Inc. acquired the data and subscriptions business of Quest Offshore Resources, Inc. The data and subscriptions business will become part of Wood Mackenzie, a Verisk Analytics business, and will complement Wood Mackenzie’s existing upstream analysis expertise.

Mathey Dearman contributed $1,500 to the UA Local 798 Scholarship Fund. The Pipeliners Voluntary Fund Scholarship Program was developed in 1969. Recipients are chosen according to grade point average, difficulty level of their academic program, strength of their recommendation letters, and an overall assessment of their essay.

Add Energy has agreed to a new global maintenance build data centralization contract with BP valued at £15 million. The contract covers global maintenance data centralization for all of BP’s upstream operating regions.

H&E Equipment Services relocated its Fort Myers, FL branch to 16701 Old U.S. 41, Fort Myers, FL  33912. The office provides full-service coverage to customers in west Florida.

Emerson will purchase the valves and controls business of Pentair for $3.15 billion. Acquisition of the Switzerland-based company is expected to close in the next four to six months.

Blackeagle Energy Services surpassed 1 million man-hours without a recordable incident.

Marathon Oil Corp. promoted T. Mitch Little to executive vice president, Operations. In conjunction with this change, Cathy Krajicek, vice president of Technology and Innovation, has accepted the role of vice president, Conventional. Bruce McCullough, vice president and chief information officer, has accepted the role of vice president, Technology and Innovation, and retains his role as chief information officer.

Wood Group was awarded an engineering services framework agreement by DONG Energy to support its oil and gas assets across the Danish, Norwegian and U.K. continental shelves.

Add Energy launched a new advisory service, ADDvisor. The service offers a team with over 30 years of experience who can provide expertise within oil and gas, well construction and operations.

R.W. Lyall hosted a tour of its New Berlin, WI plant as part of the Hubbell Gas Connectors & Accessories Group (HGCA). Hubbell Inc. acquired Lyall in January. The tour was offered as a pre-summit session during the Midwest Energy Association Gas Operations & Technical Leadership Summit held in Milwaukee in August.

Sia Partners acquired the Molten Group, a management consulting firm in London and Houston. Wayne Campbell and Noel Connolly, directors of Molten Americas, will become members of the Sia Partners North America management team.

Obituary

Sherry Gettis died Aug. 28 in Edmonton, Alberta. She is survived by her husband, Gerry Flatekval, three children, her mother, three sisters, two brothers, five grandsons and a long list of friends, including many in the pipeline industry. A celebration of life was held Sept. 1 in the Kingsway Legion, 14339 – 50th St. NW in Edmonton, Alberta.

Gettis was a pipeliner, starting her career at Banister Pipelines while still in her teens. She was involved in the startup and was the first staff employee to join OJ Pipelines, and then later was part of the team at Spie Construction.

Gettis took a break from pipelining to follow her dream to become a chef. In 2004, she returned to the industry at the pipeline division of Finning Canada. She joined with Mel Ternan in 2005 and the small group from Fabick, Ring Power, and Mustang, forming the nucleus of the new Caterpillar dealership, PipeLine Machinery (PLM).  She held the position of Global Marketing and Communications manager and retired from PLM in 2012.
