PECO's New Natural Gas Mechanics Join Field Force
PECO recently welcomed 10 new natural gas apprentice mechanics to its field force, following completion of a comprehensive seven-week training program. The mechanic- training program is designed to develop the fundamental skills that new natural gas mechanics need to work safely on the southeastern Pennsylvania utility’s distribution system and provide reliable service to over 508,000 customers. Over 500 people applied for the program. In addition to field maintenance and repair skills, the program focuses on natural gas fundamentals, quality customer interactions, emergency response, safety and first aid.
